The Double Miles Challenge has ended.  If you applied for the card while the challenge was pending but before it ended, you should still receive your bonus Miles. From Capital One’s web site:

“The Venture Double Miles Challenge ended before the miles were applied to my account. Does that mean I am no longer eligible?

If you applied for your new Venture card before we announced the end of the promotion, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to participate. You will have 7 days to register from the date we send the registration e?mail. As long as you register within 7 days of your registration e-mail being sent, and complete the rest of the steps in the registration email you will still be able to participate in the Double Miles Challenge.”

What happened to the Venture Double Miles Challenge?

The Venture Double Miles Challenge was a limited-time promotion that has now ended. However, you can still apply for the Capital One® Venture card and get great benefits like double miles on every purchase, every day. New Venture account holders are still eligible to receive 10,000 bonus miles if they spend at least $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days from approval.”

For a limited time, Capital One® Venture Card is offering a 2x miles matching bonus for new cardholders.  Capital One® Venture Card will double every dollar (up to $50,000) you spent in 2011 on any other travel credit card (receive a bonus of up to 100,000 miles).  100,000 miles is equivalent to $1,000 in travel awards, making this a tremendous bonus!   Once approved, simply provide your 2011 year-end statement from any other travel credit card  (most cards provide such statement either in the mail or the card website).  You must make $1,000 in purchases within 90 days.  Capital One® will then double your 2011 spent dollars and place that number of miles in your new account within 2 billing cycles.

This is a limited time offer!  The promotion ends when one billion miles have been given away or May 1, 2012, whichever comes first.  It ended early last year, so if you’re interested, act quickly!
