Review of the Hyatt Credit Card

Bonus: Earn two free nights at any hotel worldwide

The Hyatt Credit Card is an ideal card for anyone who wants to earn free hotel stays redeemable at Hyatt ® hotels worldwide. You will receive two award nights redeemable at any Hyatt hotel worldwide, including 5 star hotels and world-class resorts, after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months.*

This is a tremendous bonus– advance purchase rates at the pictured 5-star Park Hyatt Tokyo, a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice® 2012 Winner, were $518 (Park King room; lowest priced available) when I checked, meaning your 2 free nights would be worth over $1,000 if you redeemed them here.  Plus, you’ll receive one award night every year on your cardholder anniversary date (category 1-4 hotels).  You can also get 5,000 bonus points when you add an authorized user to your account and make a purchase with your card during the first 3 months as a cardmember.

You will also receive Elite Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum membership for as long as you are a cardholder.  This status brings you special perks such as preferred rooms, 2 PM late check-out, a 15% points bonus, complimentary in-room Internet access, and more.

You’ll earn 3 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent at Hyatt properties.   Earn 2 points for every $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline, and at car rental agencies.  Earn 1 point per dollar on all other purchases made with the card.   And free nights are redeemable for as little as 5,000 points!

The Hyatt Credit Card has an annual fee of $75.  This fee is waived in the first year.

*This new cardmember bonus offer is not available to either (1) current cardmembers of this consumer credit card, or (2) previous cardmembers of this consumer credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this consumer credit card within the last 24 months.

Redeem your two free nights at the Park Hyatt Vendôme, also a 5-star Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice® 2012 Winner.  Rates here were $748 (Park Queen) when I checked, making the value of your free stay nearly $1,500.  Located on the Place Vendôme in the center of Paris, this is one of the top hotels in all of France.
